102MWh Energy Storage System Industrial Communication Network Solution

I. Solution Overview

This solution is designed for a 102MWh-level energy storage system, adopting a "communication topology" architecture, connecting to the 35kV side bus of a 220kV step-up station through two 35kV collector lines. The system is configured with 8×6.8MWh energy storage units (1 collector line) and 7×6.8MWh energy storage units (1 collector line), with a total capacity of 102MWh, suitable for large-scale industrial and commercial energy storage scenarios.

Overall network architecture concept: Each energy storage unit is equipped with one IES6520P-4GX16GT-4BT-D industrial-grade gigabit 4-fiber 16-electrical PoE++ access switch, every 3 units share one IES8528-4GX24GT-D-L2+ industrial-grade gigabit 4-fiber 24-electrical aggregation switch,forming a star uplink. The 15 energy storage units are divided into 3 small rings, and then centralized by one IES8728-4XS16GF8GC-D-L3+ industrial-grade three-layer core switch (4×10 G SFP+, 16×1 G SFP, 8×Combo 1 G) to carry the upstream traffic of 5 groups of aggregation switches, realizing a gigabit-to-unit, 10-gigabit-core layered architecture,support DI/DO/Rs485 connected.

II. System Architecture

1. Energy Storage Unit Configuration

  • Capacity Distribution: 8×6.8MWh + 7×6.8MWh = 102MWh

  • Collector Lines: Two 35kV lines, connecting two groups of energy storage unit clusters respectively

  • Access Method: 35kV side bus access to 220kV step-up station, compliant with grid interconnection standards

  • Monitoring Network: 4-core single-mode fiber + 2-core multi-mode jumper, enabling full system status monitoring

  • Control Network: 4-core single-mode fiber, supporting real-time control command transmission

  • Topology Features: Adopts distributed architecture, supports multi-machine parallel expansion, has off-grid operation capability
